About us
Lion of Leisure is a small, independent kids’ clothing brand that my partner, Saskia, and I started back in 2013.
We’ve always believed that children’s clothing should feel special - made with care, humor and a sense of wonder.
Every piece we create is hand screen-printed by us in our studio and made from organic cotton grown without harmful chemicals. We use biodegradable, water-based inks for all our illustrations, ensuring that what your child wears is gentle on their skin and kinder to the planet. Each T-shirt is packaged in its own reusable cotton bag - something practical, simple and thoughtful.
Our collection is gender-neutral and non-seasonal, not tied to fast-changing fashion seasons. We evolve slowly and intentionally, adding new designs a couple of times each year - always driven by craft, playfulness and the joy of storytelling.
Our artwork is inspired by the animal world, drawn with detail and always with a subtle, humorous twist.
Although we care deeply about sustainability, we also want to be honest: buying our T-shirts won’t save the world. But we have worked hard to make sure that producing it does as little harm as possible. We want you to feel confident and comfortable choosing our clothing, and to feel good putting it on your child.
Our mission is simple: to build a children’s clothing brand that is genuinely unique, with a distinct, playful identity that celebrates the amazing imaginations of the very people who inspire us most - kids.
We also have a 'big brother' brand for adults, Aardvarks of Anarchy - born from the same spirit of creativity and humor.
Lion of Leisure started in Antwerp, Belgium. We’ve recently moved to the Flanders countryside, where we continue to draw inspiration from the nature around us.
